Free-love advocacy group, the Freshwater Swingers, held their annual general meeting at the Red Beret Hotel in Redlynch on Saturday night, with over eight members in attendance.
The executive team (above) have raised the profile of the group considerably over the last twelve months, implementing a scholarship and internship program for nursing students at William Bligh University, and sponsoring a ‘Teenage Lover’s Roadshow’ that presents lifestyle options at high-school career nights and fetes.
In addition to the usual general business, items on Saturday’s agenda included the price of oranges, a proposed visit to the red centre and other ambitious promotional initiatives. With unanimous approval of the members present, the executive has undertaken to commission a high quality video production of the annual open night and nude mixer planned for October.
Meanwhile, the group’s interactive adults-only performance-art production, ‘Panties-off, it’s not the Sabbath!’, will continue to run at the Tanks Art Centre until the end of the September. Tickets are available at the venue or online at www.freshwaterswingers.com/pantiesoff/notsabbath/bookings.
