FNQIDA graduates reunite on set

By Heather Luck

Three Far North Queensland Institute of Dramatic Art graduates, Dylan Porter, Braydon Gibney and Jessicah Fowles-MacEwan (left to right above), have been reunited on the set of the popular Wallet Wizard series of advertisements.

The trio last appeared together in 2015 in the acclaimed FNQIDA production of The Tempest.

Gibney, who received rave reviews for his daring interpretation of Prospero, was pleased to meet up with old friends and apply his skills in a real world environment.

“It’s great to catch up with Dyl and Jess,” he said. “Working with them has made a challenging role much easier for me. And having previously played a crazed magician obviously helped. Shakespeare is one thing, but mastering the nuances of playing double-doubleyew has been so satisfying. I’m hoping it might lead to something in Summer Bay.”

The Wallet Wizard series will culminate with the ‘Hyundai-in-the-swimming-pool-where-will-you-get-the-money-for-that?’ scenario to be aired during the Big Bash finals.
