Leading dermatologist, Dr Ivy Pan, (above) has raised concerns about the recent positive publicity surrounding the skin product Essence of Argan. The popular product has recently been named on the UNESCO list of intangible cultural assets.
Dr Pan is doubtful over the claims made by brand ambassador Kylie Gillies that the use of Essence of Argan results in “forever youthfulness and rootability.”
“I’ve been to the Arganese extraction facility in Valletta and there’s plenty of vats of bubbling goo, glossy magazines and pictures of KG,” said Dr Pan from her clinic in Cabramatta. “I mean, I’m a big fan. Especially the pre-Emdur days. But there’s not a randomised-double-blind-placebo-controlled-t-test to be found in that factory. Not even in the ladies room. The science simply just does not back up their claims. Auntie Cindy is in complete agreement – disclaimer… she is big-time team Olay.”
Chairman of the UNESCO committee, Mr Wendell Sailor, was unavailable for comment due to seduction commitments.
