Plain Dealer IT specialist, Edson Yeung, got a little surprise when he sat down in his car to drive to the office today.
Edson found that the steering wheel of his 1998 Honda Civic was coated with a layer of tropical mould (above). The car is reportedly otherwise in very good condition.
As he moved to put the keys in the ignition, a largeish black spider scurried across his snake, over his man-groves and towards his reef. And then, as the radio crackled into life, ‘Blame it on the rain’ by Milli Vanilli boomed out of the speakers.
The editorial team felt that such a conjunction of tropical wet season dōngxī would tickle Plain Dealer readers right where the spiders tread and where the rainforest meets the reef.
The spider is well and reportedly sheltering in the neighbour’s mailbox.
